Lol.

The more I think about it, the funnier it is. In the one season, where United lost Fergie In the one season, where half United's players had possibly their worst career seasons In the one season,

Pogba looking difficult to knock off the ball and foul. Hope we still have Lucas for when we play him.

rooney has been beyond marginal in this match.

playing ibrahimovic, rooney, fellaini and mata in the same team is great news for mobile teams like us

How to make a mockery our of Klopp 101

A - Park the bus and don't attack with high numbers

B - Play a deep defensive line, pack the midfield and allow Klopp's team to have the ball

Can't wait to see Spurs play Liverpool, Pochettino vs Klopp, managers who are obsessed with pressing going against each other. But one of those two is actually a fairly tactical manager while the other is a glorified idiot in a tracksuit.

As ALF posted about, liverpool had 80.6% possession. That's the highest amount to have lost with since 03/04!

I think that tells you they lack a reliable goalscorer. I'm sure there will be games where they score heaps of goals but i think the signs are they will struggle with consistency again.

It has nothing to do with a reliable goalscorer, they could've had Lewanowski there and they wouldn't have scored.

Klopp's teams are never comfortable with they have the ball and the other team is their natural possession. When they have the ball and the other team is setting deep and in their positions, Klopp's teams struggle to make clear cut chances.

They had 26 chances but only 5 were on target and that says it all.

Plenty managers  especially in Netherland and Germany where the ,,computer"  football was created (in other words they killed the  clasic  creative football  as  a result ) hasn't  plans B and C . Against well organized  defences is mad to organize allways the attacks with plenty passes from behind . Even Pep -the man who is related with the most successful possesion football had a variants with a mid and  long range passes directed around or into the box and playing wide for a while.

I am not the biggest Mou's fan .Even these days I was critical to him regarding Bastian and Mata treatment  ,but for his transfers I have to say only positive words. He collected footballers who can act on their own and by the freedom given they are the one who decide  games. Against Southampton United had only about 40 % possesion ,but always looked so  dominant .

Biggest example of that is Bayern last season in the CL. Against Juve they crossed the ball more than Moyes team and ended up scoring from wide and beat Juve.

Pep might not had the most successful spell in Germany, but his tactics became much more flexible in Germany, which is scary.

And yeah, its topical of Mourinho to get results with no possession, United had 40% but we locked more dominant with those 40% than Southampton did with their 60%.

Best thing about Mourinho is that even when he builds his side to counter, they always manage to perform well in possession. Inter 2010 is the highlight of Mourinho's career imo, his side was lethal on the counter, dicking away two possession obsessed managers in LvG and Pep  but at the same time in Serie A Inter played very comfortably when they had the ball and never struggled to create chances.

This is the difference in the quality of Mou and Klopp. Both of them favour counter attacking football, but one is a tactical mastermind who has a plan B and who builds teams that are comfortable with the ball, while the other has 0 backup plans and his teams can't breakdown organized teams.

It's gonna be an interesting season in the PL with Ranieri, Pep, Mou and Arsene as the experienced managers while we had Koeman, Conte, Billic, Klopp and  Pochettino  as the young upcoming managers.

Suddenly Liverpool are title contenders according to some.

Football... Fucking hell..

Away wins against Arsenal and Chelsea, a draw at White Hart Lane and a hammering of champions Leicester.

Of course they should be feared. Will they win it? Unlikely. Can they? Absolutely.

The 2-0 loss against Burnley wasn't a fair reflection of the game.

I read somewhere in Marca the other day a sentence that defined Liverpool as "a big team against big teams, a more mediocre one against mediocre ones".

It's kind of true, but that game was a freak. 81% possession, 26 shots and 12 corners.

Coutinho was poor on the day.
