Game was ruined by the referee. Why is it they always want to be the star of the show? Ten Hag should complain. This arsehole Taylor has got form.

United still have to play both Spurs and Newcastle away, so yeah. A bit of work to do. Liverpool slipping up was important.

Been saying for a while we could well hit a rough patch and top four is far from secure given how paper thin we are at certain positions

Can't remember the last time I enjoyed a 0-0 so much.

Really open game, Martinez was different gravy again, and Walker Peter's was good for them.

You can't win them all, and at least we didn't lose.

Still lack composure at times.

Southampton were A completely different team to the one I watched getting smashed by Brentford, this new manager has given them belief.

They played United off the pitch under Hasenhüttl earlier in the season, but lost 1-0.

They knocked City out of The League Cup and deserved it.

They also won at Stamford Bridge recently.

They're the youngest squad in the league, so they lack consistency.

Just looked at the table and losing 5 points in the last two games has made 4th place by no means certain!

Newcastle away could be a major game.

Red cards can influence games we all know that and I would have thought United fans were not that shallow to blame the result on that seems a lot are though on fanzones and twitter.

Let's look at the match before the red card, lets look at the opposition where they are in the table just how bad they are apart from a couple of "freak" results.

Then analyse it after the sending off it's embarrassing fans focus on the red we've won with 10 before many teams have won with 10 over the years. Some are acting as if we played Real Madrid and got a plucky point it was Southampton for god's sake!!

The red and the pen appeals, which were legit, can not define performance. Yes they dug in but they were against the worst side in the Premiership.

Fact is United have been getting over the line for months now a combination of an extremely shit squad extremely bad selection choices by Ten Hag and the fact they've played every 3 days since December. Ten Hags insistence on playing almost with the same starting line up bar a change here and there, playing off form players and players in the wrong position is what should be looked at more in depth.

I pride myself in not being a winging bastard and I'm not starting now. Refs VAR have saved our ass's plenty of times this season you just get on with it. Yes we could have 2 pens, 1 definitely, but do you really let the performance be defined by refereeing decisions. Fernandes goal v City should never had stood that's just an example shit happens!

The Bald Wizard however needs to be very careful in relying and trusting players that are clearly a disgrace to the United shirt. He has started to have his favourites  you know "the undroppables" that Solskjaer had his mates that could do no wrong and that is a really dodgy path to go down on.

I'd take Sancho and Antony off and get Garnacho and Pellistri on.

AWB trying to give them a goal, shit pass.

Southampton will score in next ten minutes if ETH doesn't make a sub.

I'd take Sancho & Antony off even if we'd used our full allowed quota of subs. Fuckin shockers

Sancho is a waste of space. He offers nothing. Good player at Dortmund but something has happened to him since he came here. If he does have mental issues, then I feel sorry for him but the team can't carry a passenger. Anthony is OK and hopefully will improve but for the money we paid for him, you'd expect a more polished player.

That's what I don't understand about EtH signing Antony. He had him on his books at Ajax for 2 years so surely there must be other aspects to his game we haven't seen yet? An 85mill transfer fee cannot be justified on a player who's only attribute seems to be coming inside  a LB , into the middle which is far more dense than out on his own wing, playing either a square or back pass, and making no movement, providing his teammates with no options other than to switch across field. His left footed curlers into the top corner look stunning but so far they've cost Utd over 28 million quid each. Sincerely hope Erik's not pulled an Ole with this one!

He’s been bought with his Ajax style of play in mind, due to the limitations of the majority of our squad ETH has not implemented many of those concepts yet, he’s there as he knows how to press properly and retains the ball really well, in addition to having a fiery mentality and attitude

as he adapts to the league and more importantly as the rest of the squad is moulded to eth’s liking I think he’ll get better and better, in the meantime he’s massively overpriced though (probably always will be to some extent) - he’s not Pepe levels of bad but the qualities I described are worth maybe half what we paid

Can agree with you hd but I'd also like to see a bit more defensive contributions, not what he was signed for but to play in the EPL for a club such as the size of Utd, especially at that price, you really should be able to offer a lot more to the team. I think he will improve but my main concern is when?
