2022/2023: FA Cup 5th Round - Man United v West Ham

Recommended Posts

With a domestic trophy in the bag and lots of games ahead, I'd honestly go really weak for this one - big rotation, especially with pool on Sunday coming

Old Trafford

Wednesday 1st March, 19:45 k.o

Butland/Heaton

Dalot Maguire Lindelof Malacia

McTominay Mainoo

Elanga Sabitzer Garnacho

Martial

Something like this - maybe Antony could start or Sancho if Martial still isn't fit enough, I'm basically trying to rest everyone who'd start v pool (ddg, awb varane martinez shaw, casemiro fred, antony bruno rash, weghorst?)

Suspect ETH will go quite strong though

Workhorst in the 94th minute pressuring them into gifting Fred a goal. Counting that as an assist for him too 😉 Pressing monster is legit

What a dreadful performance.

Casemiro came on and bossed it. Phenomenal player

Now we've won the league cup, it wouldn't be the worst thing if we eased fixture congestion by dropping out of this even though of course everyone would like to win it

Small club mentality Hef let's try and win the fucking lot!!!

Remember the Dippers won that "treble" of cups well that's another thing they will not have claim too! 🤣

The league may be out of reach this year so it's not as if we need time to sacrifice cup matches for that competition.

I don't think top four is a lock yet, anything can happen, and I'm wary of the effects of playing loads of games on players over 2/3 seasons (see Chelsea and Pool now) but we'll see

Chelsea chose their present manager. Pool sold their best player, Mane. Reckon we'll make top 4 not easily but by a fair margin. Every other game is a cup tie so why not just go for it?

This game is calling out for Rashford. Need a goalscorer.

Scott and Maquire need to be careful. Another yellow and we are down to 10 men.

Can see West Ham scoring soon. Then it will be difficult.

How come ref didn't book their defender for cynical pull down.

De Gea showing how poor his distribution is.

It's time surely for Pellistri?

Poor first half!
