You can never really trust someone who owns two clubs but their owner is clearly chasing some that Premier League money. I don't think they've bought badly and they did have to do it but yeah, that's a big outlay and a lot of contracts to commit to when relegation is always a real threat.

It's seems to be coming more and more common.

Brighton's owner also owns Royale Union Saint-Gilloise who were robbed of the Belgian title last season because of the controversial play-off system. Mitoma and Undav were there last season.

The Watford owners own Udinese as well, and used to own Granada.

City Football Group own Man City, New York City, Melbourne City, Troyes, Lommel and also have a stake in Girona who Pep's brother is involved with.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe owns Nice and is rumoured to be interested in United.

A lot of them practically work as feeder clubs. Watford and Udinese especially have had a partnership that should raise eyebrows. I guess it's not illegal, but not a great precedent. Either way, this bloke is Greek and Olympiacos play in Europe every season. I don't know if he's filthy rich but once money starts coming out of a club it really bleeds, and dropping divisions does that. Maybe they'll be okay, but possibly Bournemouth aside, there's no standout guarantees for relegation. It'll be a fight this season.

It's mental, I know they *needed* a lot of recruitment due to the amount of loans they had in last year, and they needed to upgrade a lot too but what a tough task for Steve Cooper and surely considering anyone still at the club from last year (including like Brennan Johnson for example) - it's just too much?

That said they're sort of making it work, doing ok in the league and made the semis of the league cup
