TFIA 14,888
Has to start - Really worry that he'll decline over the season and we'll be stuck with his contract. At his best there is no one better in that role but this is such a wildly different situation to Madrid. There'll be more pressure on him to play with the ball as he doesn't have a Modric or Kroos next to him where he can just keep things simple. Love the player but hated the signing. hdcantona and Gary

We just need to make sure we don’t play him 50 times a year this season and next and hopefully we’ll get three good years of about 40 games from him

Eddie 585
The Glazer's signed him to keep Ronaldo happy. He definitely wasn't ten Hag's signing. He needs to show a lot more to getting a starting spot at this moment. Edited September 4, 2022 by Eddie

O 20,315
Casemiro is a top player... But as an aside, Tchouaméni was MotM in his last game for Real and assisted in the previous game against Espanyol. They knew what they were doing. Jay007 3,339
Probably his worst cameo for us so far. It's a bit odd that he hasn't had a started yet so you do wonder if he wasn't one of Ten Hag's preferred signings. Hopefully he starts against Sociedad as he needs to start playing more if he's going to fit in. Edited September 4, 2022 by Jay007
1Day 104
Still won’t dislodge Mctominay as yet, needs to show patience on the ball, and needs to react positively off the ball.

He just learning what it's like not to play with GOAT level players like Modrić.
John Locke 1,142
Didn't think he was that bad. Nothinv special but made to look worse by some of the mediocrity around him.
Gary 133
Still disillusioned that we never signed Ruben Neves for that position. Knows the English game so well and is only 25 yrs old. Pity!
O 20,315
He put out a few fires tonight, but was very clumsy. Dangerous free kick to give away. Poor long range passing when he first came on. Then he fixed up. He only won 6 out 15 ground duels, committed 4 fouls, and was dribbled past twice.

Still looks well off the pace - the international break should actually do him good he'll play a lot I hope and then we have a rough schedule after the break so hopefully he picks up once he gets a run for us TheManc
Jay007 3,339
I think we need to give him games to try to get him up to speed. Jury is out on whether he's another player that Real knew when to sell at the right time, but he was clearly signed to try to address the issues we've had in DM for a long time and we need to give him the chance to do that. O 20,315
He gets on the ball more than McTominay. But he's not exactly been impressive so far. He's probably saving himself for Qatar. We would have been better off signing a more technical player. ten Hag clearly rates Eriksen the highest out of all our midfielders. hdcantona

Would Real fork out such a sum for a 30-something Manchester United player who's on the down-escalator? All that time and effort chasing de Jong and no plan B in place. Nothing has changed.
