Jay007 3,457
Considering how good he's been in the last few months, I would definitely keep him now if he wants to stay. I admit that I'm still a bit concerned about injuries, but he's just too good when he's fit to let him go if we can help it. We have enough gaps in the squad that we need to fill without also needing to replace his impact.

TheManc 4,063
I absolutely love him - could have been one of my all time fav players had he joined us sooner - but christ he is a cripple. Injured again. PVAD and Jay007 1

Three quarters of those fuckers just go through the motions picking up their thousands and thousands. A guy who realises the DNA of this club. Love him also El Matador!! JJtheRed 7,200
Looks like he’s off to Barca. At this precise moment in time; there is NO bigger slap in the face than a player leaving you for Barcelona.

At this precise moment in time; there is NO bigger slap in the face than a player leaving you for Barcelona. i think although most of us thought Ralf will embrace Cavani, Ralf is going to build around young players with Ronaldo who will play most of the time and Matic occasionally, the only experienced players who will have game time. i love Cavani but if there's a plan for future then if they want him and the club can get money now then why not? regarding Barca, yeah i agree. but is there any other club in europe who needs a striker in January? Barca lost Aguero after all.
Jay007 3,457
His time here has been frustrating tbh. When he's fit he's undoubtedly one of our best players, still a World Class striker and just as importantly for us, he's actually a proper leader who can really drive the team on. However, the amount of time he's spent out due to getting niggling injuries means that we haven't been able to rely on him regularly, so I don't think we'd particularly miss him if he does go. CB78 395
Like Cavani a lot, true grafter & poss one of our best options in 4-2-2-2 but he’s injured a lot- + playing him (even if more effective short term) at expense of developing Greenwood/Rashford & co has it’s own set of negatives & I don’t think Ralph’s style- Can see how letting him go in Jan makes sense; Edited December 19, 2021 by CB78 . Deez Nutz 379
He always put good effort in and was more than just a goal scorer, good all round play, I think he still has a lot to give and will be sad to see him go. Pap1918 and PVAD
PVAD 4,635
The guy wants to leave yet fights like a tiger every single time he puts that shirt on. Then you have captain bastard and the rest of the fraggle rock cast wandering around aimlessly like they don't give a flying fuck! Jay007
Jay007 3,457
He's a bit of an enigma really. All things considered, I think he's by far and away our best player. He's still a World Class striker, and on top of that his work-rate, attitude and leadership is outstanding and sadly lacking in so many of our other players. The problem is the number of injuries he picks up. He's been unavailable for most of the season already, and without being able to predict how much he'll be available for the rest of the season, it's hard to say how much we'd miss him if and when he does move on. Considering how good he is when fit it might be worth keeping him for the rest of the season regardless, unless he really wants to go. JaimeL
rezzy 4,715
He offers us more than any other forward in terms of pressing and running. He gets into positions and closes down well. His only real downside is he sometimes needs 2-3 chances to score. Ronaldo needs 1 chance, he just doesnt fight or move the way Edi does, so Edi ends up getting the chances instead. O 20,759
Availability is his biggest issue. 7 goals from 11 appearances for Valencia. He did get shafted by the Ronaldo signing. JaimeL, hdcantona and Burns92
