2020 Transfer Targets

Recommended Posts

Werner is Liverpool bound. The scouse media have basically been hyping up that move for months, even more so than the Manchester lot have been bringing up Grealish to United. Werner has been flirting with them + Klopp for a while too.

He'd be a good signing for us though from what I've seen. He and Martial could compete for the CF spot in the 4-2-3-1 or him/Martial/Rashford can fight for the 2 spots in the 5-3-2.

IIRC he was actually a United fan growing up.

That would mean a big change in system for Liverpool, as Werner can't do what Firmino does. But will score more goals.

I saw on Twitter that Klopp plans on selling Firmino in 2021 or 2022, so who knows.

Did he say he was a United fan?

I read that he had a dream of playing for a big club and the one he wanted was United under Sir Alex Ferguson

He just wanted to win things.

Bellingham will be loaned straight back if he signs.

Or to a lower Premier League side. Although if he impresses in pre season (whenever that is) he might stay.

I'd let him stay where he is, maybe even more than a season. He's developing well and playing regularly. The Championship has been great for developing young players of late - Maddison, Grealish, Abraham, Mount etc.

He's ridiculously young. No need to hurry anything. If we had loaned Zaha back for a year or two he'd probably be a regular for us.

Denis Zakaria ?

Tall, powerful runner with a good engine. One of the reasons why Gladbach are competing for The Bundesliga this season.

He's more box to box than a holding midfielder. Similar to Thomas Partey who is another beast.

Linked with both. But I think we need a specialist DM who sits. Ndidi does that.

Hearing Grealish has gone partying, drink driving, crashed the car and done a runner before the police got there?

Yep. All over Twitter.

Means his move to United is unlikely to happen. Very bad PR. Especially during a crisis.

I've read that it's public knowledge around Villa that he drinks/parties a lot and either his form (or appearances) always dip around a certain time of year because he's out on the piss every night. Similar situation to Neymar and his sister.

A lot of them do it.

Rooney drank at home. So many PL footballers and managers get caught drink driving as well.

And not all of them follow a strict diet. Gary Neville said he felt bad for having a Chinese on a Saturday night after a game with the missus. Lol.

Pizza used to be a common treat after games for the Hispanic/Latin players. Fabregas. Haha.

Get him on the cheap. Lovely job. He will decline quickly though so no Rooney extensions. Next Gazza indeed.

Highly unlikely, given the numbers thrown about... But Valverde and Niguez ?

I’ve seen Saul mentioned a lot on here and probably seen him play twice but there’s nothing memorable...

Saúl is quality. He can play anywhere in midfield and do it well, but he's best at LCM in a midfield three. Leftie.

Not a prolific goalscorer, but a scorer of great goals.

He needs to get away from Simeone. He spends half his time playing out of position on the wing and having to do a lot more defensive work than a player of his ability should have to.

Valverde won't be going anywhere. He's been Real's player of the season. Holds their midfield together.

Billing him as a “Pogba replacement” (yawwwn) which from what you’ve said could be viable, positionally at least...

Martial

Rashford---------------------Greenwood

Sául-----------Bruno

Fred

Would be sexy.
