Barcelona are missing Lewandowski, Dembélé and Pedri. Christensen only makes the bench. Real should win. But man did this fixture fall off compared to 10 years ago. They went 2nd last night. Real are focused on The Copa del Rey final this coming weekend, and then City in their season defining games. Barcelona don't play particularly great football. But they rarely concede and keep doing enough to stroll to a La Liga title. Lewandowski has been poor in 2023. They can't resign Messi and keep him. It would be a disaster. What a glittering career he won literally the lot in club and international football a rare feat for a pro footballer. Regarded as one of the best deep-lying midfielders of his generation he said the times right. One stat that cracked me up was over his 15 years with the senior team he has scored just 18 goals and provided only 40 assists. Even bearing in mind his position that is at best very average.
