Should have given away a penalty vs Everton and again yesterday.

When you're a "small" club down the bottom, you need these decisions to go your way. At 0-0, this could have changed the game.

Hmm. Jimmy just joined Southgate's coaching setup with England. What a lying bastard. Maguire won 3 out of 8 aerial duels, and should have given away a penalty.

He was the only constant weak point of the team yesterday.

Jimmy might have been drunk. He was praising Martial for scoring the first goal lol.

think that's a real problem;    making a huge loss on what we paid regardless but  UTD would of been banking on getting at least some decent cash for Macguire?

In a summer we need to sell to buy (unless there's creative ways round i.e. Chelsea long term contract approach).  I really can't see many clubs taking a risk on Macguire for big money?  Loan more likely or selling at even bigger loss

We'll probably find someone. He has value for mid-table clubs who wont push him up the pitch or ask much from him on the ball.

It's in everyone's interest that he goes. He's terrible but not as bad as he's been for the last two seasons. It's obvious that he's a nervous wreck. Despite all the praise for his English spirit he just doesn't have the mentality to play for the club. He's captain material for Hull City but utterly out his depth at United.

I'm more confident we can off-load him than Martial or Sancho.

All those players should hang their heads in shame. Except Maguire that is. He should've been decapitated at HT

Shame? On their wages, shame doesn't enter into it. They've got hangers-on telling them all day long how great they are.

Wages is the big issue. They'd rather sit out their inflated contracts at United than go elsewhere and play. Can't blame them really. If we're mug enough to pay a flop like Sancho north of £275,000 a week, then who's the fool?

What really bothers me about Maguire too, is I honestly don't think he himself, believes he's been performing as badly in a United shirt as he has for quite some time now.

He was actually an embarrassment against Forest, the first half especially and he has the cheek then at full-time to be over front & center at the Away end, pumping his fist and celebrating like he was the leader who brought us the victory. Fuck off! He has no shame at all.

Needs to be fucked out the door this summer - I don't care what the price tag is. He needs to be moved on for himself & his own career, but I wouldn't be surprised that he's arrogant enough to still believe he should be starting regularly at United next season.

He'll find a club easily, if he's willing to go. He's completely out of his depth here and won't get the chance to go to one of the clubs at the top of the league, but he's still rated a fair bit I'd say and has a reputation. I think a lot of clubs will put his form down to upheaval at the club and his confidence.

There may even be some interest from abroad, a few British players are doing well for themselves in Italy so it wouldn't be completely surprising to me if someone there decided to take a punt. It might even suit him more.

There would be loads of clubs willing to take him but he'd more than likely need to take a pay cut. He probably at least has the character to do that for the sake of rebuilding his career and reputation but it's not a given. We should be prepared to pay 25% of his wages or something just to get him out the door.

He is not good enough to cut out the mistakes which are hugely amplified all over social media now, which must be destroying him mentally.

Absolute shitshow of a signing.

Yeah, that's really what I meant by 'if he's willing to go'. He'll have to take a huge wage cut where ever he goes. I think Newcastle would have considered him initially after their takeover, but I don't think they would now - even they wouldn't have paid him as much as we do though

The final point couldn't be more right, which is why I never wanted to sign him either. The signs were there even when he was at Leicester. There will be clubs who'll be more accepting of his mistakes for his better performances, but it's nowhere near good enough for clubs who want to be challenging at the top.

It says a lot that not only was he not missed but both Shaw and Lindelof look miles better paired with each other than him - and he made Varane seem worse last season too.

Saw someone on twitter saying that Lindelof usually has to 'babysit' him and that's probably not far off the truth

Doubt he does though.

He's going to fill the void left by Weghorst.

I think he's finally found his vocation in life as an awards presenter. I believe he was handing out the gongs yesterday at the annual club do. They wanted someone who didn't have any chance of winning!! 😂😂

Maybe he could do the PA at Old Trafford on a job share with stalwart Keegs.

I actually think we may get rid of him successfully thanks to some of the recent shop window appearances, maybe it’s just delusional optimism though

You'd think there would be such a thing as professional pride or personal ambition, but that doesn't seem to happen much nowadays.

He's the United captain and one of his countries first choice players, yet he's 3rd choice at his club and may even be relegated to 4th choice if someone else is signed. You'd think he'd want to actually go and get regular gametime somewhere.

he's third choice for both LCB and RCB, arguably he's behind Martinez, Shaw, Varane and Lindelof in effect, because unless 3 of them are out, he's not likely to start (barring wanting to keep shaw LB)
