Agreed but it's that bringing the club into disrepute scenario. With being an ambassador for the club especially skipper brings responsibilities one of those is not getting involved in fracas or at least showing restraint. OK so that's the sensible answer.

The truth is it was a knee jerk reaction by me but imo is he is bang on average he really is. For a club of our stature we should be looking at better than just average players. He isn't a leader and I've rarely, if at all  seen him pump up the team when they're in dire straits. In that respect he is fairly anonymous.

Then we have his distribution very questionable, positional sense left wanting numerous times, in the air very very average he's no Vidic and finally composure LOL!

I don't think the club is in any disrepute from this. Where's the harm? I think it would be very shady for us (or any club for that matter) to start taking a moral high ground over off-season player behaviour. Just look at the entire history of professional footballers for that. Then again this is a board that cares more about social media metrics than results so it wouldn't entirely surprise me if he got stripped of the captaincy.

Do I rate him? I think he's good, not great, with an unfair target on his back due to a price tag out of his control. He's had a solid season in my eyes. And let's be clear if you think he's poor, god knows what you think of the rest of the CBs at the club because he is comfortably the best. He'll be here for a long time and needs a better partner than anything that's available.

Well you say that but his country have dropped him. It's about representation Southgate clearly thinks he can't have him in the squad as it woukd mean he condones his behaviour. He is setting an example. As much as you may see this as not a big deal and OK I agree with you to an extent it's not in the Eric Cantona realms, regardless in some capacity during his downtime he still represents the club by virtue of being a United player. 

I mentioned when he signed he was an improvement on the rest of the CB's at this club. However just because he may be an improvement on Jones, Smalling, Baily, Rojo and Lindelof it's not saying much because the majority of those were/are Championship defenders at best.

Anyhow mate in a bizarre twist I think I've finally got you to admit subconsciously Jones is/has been an absolute calamity for this club.

They wouldn't take her to the hospital or something, and also i think the police were being heavy handed when trying to stop Maguire and his brothers getting to the Albanians.

I read he didn't punch a copper, but he pushed one who fell on the floor, hurt himself and missed the next day of work.

That's just bad timing as the squad announcement came that very day. If the squad was called 2-3 weeks later he'd have been in it. Remember when Sterling was dropped for an altercation with Gomez? There's no long term repercussions to these situations.
