According to the gutter press, Greenwood is in talks with Adidas in the hopes that they will green light his return to the fold. The club want him back and all is seemingly forgiven. They should have ripped up his contract months ago and washed their hands of him. I expect the women's team will be thrilled to see him back too.

Putting aside everything that happened he was on course to becoming a superstar however he's had no game time in 18 months. That's a heck of a lay off and he'll be under enormous pressure each time he pulls on a red shirt. I wonder if this is just a ploy to inform other clubs that by showing our desire to reintroduce him won't let him leave for nothing.

i find it hard to believe they've made an announcement about there being an announcement, that will then involve him being released, so that's my fear, but it's just speculation
