Current Champions: Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich

The 2019/2020 Bundesliga will be an interesting title race for Bayern, due to the many changes happening behind the scenes throughout the league. Bayern Munich will be looking to win their 8th consecutive Bundesliga title, but have lost two of their greatest ever players in Arjen Robben and Franck Ribéry. And they have also sold Matts Hummels to their biggest title rival. But as usual, Bayern have already conducted some transfer activity nice and early in the window, having secured the services of France's World Cup winning full-backs Lucas Hernandez and Benjamin Pavard. While they should win the league once again, they are in need of some attacking reinforcements to bolster their attack. Leroy Sané has been linked with the club.

Borussia Dortmund

The 2012 Bundesliga champions have made their intent be known this summer; they want their title back. BVB have been the busiest team in the league this window, having brought in 6 players already. Paco Alcácer, Thorgan Hazard, Nico Schulz, Julian Brandt, Mateu Morrey and Matts Hummels have all signed for the club this summer, in what is a complete revamp of the BVB squad. They'll be hoping to go one better this season, after what would be 8 years since their last title win should they fail to close the gap on Bayern.

RB Leipzig

Leipzig have hired Julian Nagelsmann as their new manager. At just 31 years of age, he is one of the youngest and brightest coaches in world football. He did a brilliant job with his former club Hoffenheim, and Leipzig will be hoping that his methods can improve what is one of the youngest and most talented squads in German football. Hannes Wolf, signed from their Austrian counterpart RB Salzburg, has been their most high profile signing this summer. The club have sold Portuguese winger Bruma to PSV Eindhoven, so more signings are likely before the season starts.

 Bayer Leverkusen

Leverkusen are the Spurs or Roma of The Bundesliga. A team that plays good football and is always there or thereabouts in terms of winning things, but can never quite get over the line. They also have a very young and talented squad like RB Leipzig. Kai Havertz is their prize asset and one of the most promising young players in Europe. They sold Julian Brandt to Dortmund earlier in the window, but were quick to replace him with the signing of Kerem Demirbay from Hoffenheim. And they've also signed promising young French winger Moussa Diaby from PSG in France. They'll be hoping to finish inside the top 4 more comfortably this season under the guidance of Peter Bosz who took over halfway through lasts season.

The other contenders for CL football

Schalke 04 has a pretty terrible season in 2018/2018, finishing in 14th. They are usually a regular part of The Champions League. The club have hired former Huddersfield manager David Wagner and will be hoping that he can get them back to where they belong. With players like Bentaleb, Konoplyanka and McKennie in their ranks, top 7 should have been their minimum finish.

Eintracht Frankfurt have been a breath of fresh air these past two years. They won The German Cup in 2018 and had a great run in The Europa League last season. Unfortunately for them, Luka Jović was so eye catching during his time at the club, Real Madrid bought him the second he signed on permanently with the German club. But not to worry, they made a huge profit on what was a loan punt in 2017. Benfica's incompetence was their gain. The club still have many other talented players such as Haller, Rebić and Gaćinović. They need to try to hold onto these players if they want to break into the top 4. But signings like Djibril Sow and Filip Kostić (on loan last season) will help strengthen the squad overall.

Wolfsburg could once say they had players of the calibre of Edin Džeko and Kevin De Bruyne playing for them. They've regressed in recent seasons, but will be hoping to improve on last season's 7th place finish under new manager Oliver Glasner. He has brought in fellow Austrian Xaver Schlager from RB Salzburg, and the club have signed Kevin Mbabu who impressed with Young Boys in The Champions League. Weghorst will have to have an even more prolific season in front of goal if they are to bridge the gap.

Sancho scores and has “Justice for George Floyd” written on his T-shirt.    Sign him up.

That Sancho lad is shite?.  @Txrt you must of smoked ingested and injected your own weight of meth during lockdown. Every day. To say what you've said about Sancho. An absolute star already.

Dortmund better not bottle it this season.

Bayern need to sign an elite attacker like Sané to bolster the attack.

Losing Robbery and James in one window leaves their squad thin.

Bayern will still win it.

The difference is Lewandowski over the course of a season. Dortmund don’t have a reliable source of goals if/when Reus gets injured.

They kept not starting Paco last season. He pretty much always scores when they play him.

Dortmund need some of their midfielders to chip in with more goals. Which should be possible now that they have Hazard and Brandt.

Bayern will sign one more quality player and win it, of course.

He'll go to Chelsea.

Why?

They can't offer him anything that we can't (apart from living in London).

The fact that he moved to Germany shows that his London roots aren't that important to him.

We made a move for him this window according to some reports, to which he basically said check back in with me again next year i.e. see if you're still shit and wait to see if I outgrow Dortmund.

He's good buds with Gomes off the pitch. Him doing well here would help.

At it again that's a Bundesliga record he's equalled 7 in 4 games.

Leipzig on top still..... could be a Leicester... unlikely but stanger things have happened.

Reus bagged a couple for Dortmund who move into 2nd.

GOATING!!

Robert Lewandowski became the first Bundesliga player to score in his club's first nine matches of the season as Bayern Munich went top of the table with a 2-1 win over Union Berlin.

The Poland striker scored his 19th goal of the season early.  Fuck me more than what the entire United Squad has scored!!

He was available once upon a time. ?

Bayern beaten 5-1 by Frankfurt following an early red card for Boateng. Kovac has swiftly been sacked. Rummenigge basically said the performances and results were not good enough. Bayern won the league and cup double last season under Kovac.

Just shows how huge clubs like Bayern react none of this let's give them a bit more time.."you're doing shit regardless of last season there's the door.."  ruthless.

Edit: 3 trophies and won 45 out of 65 quite outstanding for a season and a bit.

Imagine if the United board adopted Bayern's no nonsense approach..Moyes would have gone after a month Van Gaal would have disappeared after MK Dons disgrace Mourinho wouldn't have lasted that long either and Ole would have been sacked last season immediately if not sooner.

They say changing mangers doesn't necessarily mean the team will suddenly improve a Team, United have somewhat proved that...but giving managers time doesn't seem to work either!!

Catch 22 United need to fold and merge with Salford!!!

Look at their board ......Imagine likes of Martial asking their executive board chairman something like ...,,I am a striker Sir and I deserve more here in the years left .... or Pogba ,, I am a world champion and I have more instagram followers than You ......?

Plus only a few weeks ago they beat a Spurs 7-2 in their back yard! Ruthless!

Yeah it’s a difficult one but changing managers would work if the board were fit to make footballing decisions. Bayern will identify someone who fits the bill and will take them forward. They do have the advantage of being in a league that guarantees them CL football every year though. Our board have no clue what direction they want the club to go in. Hence the appointment of 3 managers whose football style had no resemblance to each other’s and opposite to the attacking football this club is all about. And then they appointed a manager based on the emotions of supporters. Clueless.

6 of total 15 board members were former footballers ,so they acted mostly based on the emotions of footballers .
