United to get relegated

Yes agree.  They luck out every time even when they are drawn away they still get a non-prem team!!  To be fair we've been lucky with Rochdale and Colchester but come 3rd Round of the Cup in

Nice one finding the thread @PVAD

hahahahahaha lets laugh at chelski now next move should be removing roman from owning that club altogether.

As for EFL cup itself its the most pointless trophy going so just abolished.

It’s that kind of attitude adopted,is the consequence of where UTD are now.

the pointless part was right, when UTD had mediocre players on mediocre wages, and were winning the Division year in year out, gaining advancement into other cups, and were very popular for a long time ,in the brand of football UTD play.

The last 8 years is proof that we need to be trying to win everything, the whole change over was a real disaster in hindsight, anyone that came after Saf ,should have been rebuilding from scratch .

Lets hope it begins next season, starting with a clear out,and inputting relevant players over two windows, and then keep scouting and adding where needed.

We need to be buying intelligent minded footballer’s  , with tenacity and the skill to hold the ball when required,at the moment in the final third,UTD lack that type of player, hence the Forwards/players,waste so much opportunities,by crossing knowing it will be blocked or shooting knowing it’s a difficult chance,or taking on players when you know it’s a brick wall,an intelligent player would hold the ball ,and pass when an outlet is visible, not waste the possession.

While you are not wrong, given your premise, Im against against the existence of EFL cup altogether,   I have never felt anything every time we won it or lost it for that matter, I was too young in 1991, Not in 2006, not in 2010, not 2011, not 2017,  I have always said I wish we could swamp them for FA cup.

and the reason i'm against the EFL cup is here: When the Munich air Disaster in 1957-58 happened EFL cup didn't exist, United was chasing "The Treble" the one we won in 1998-99. United only took part twice in it after it was introduced in 1961 throughout the rest of Busby's era.  United only start taking part in it regularly when it was made mandatory for teams to do so. Alan Hardarker who was chairmen of English football league (EPL wasn't thing back then) put lot pressure on United after Busby decided to defy his order to always return home quickly as possible after each trip abroad and because of that United tried to get home as early as possible each time, on that faithful trip they even rented plane to meet Hardarker's demands. If flight had been post phoned its believed that the accident would have been avoided as there was slush up on the runway.

Ortega has been good, yeah.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs all exiting the competition tonight by the looks of it.

Maybe Liverpool too.

Arteta and Klopp went with very weak starting XI's.

Predictions above.

Klopp actively tries his best to go out of this early every year, only for his youngsters to keep progressing. It's not at Anfield, so I imagine City will win comfortably if Klopp doesn't take it seriously.

I think these games are scheduled for the 21st/22nd of December, before The PL resumes.
