What Movies Are You Watching Right Now?

Recommended Posts

Just back from Mission Impossible: Fallout. I'm a big Tom Cruise fan, and the action in this film was simply stunning - if you're in to action movies at all, I can't recommend this enough. Fist fights, bikes chases, HALO jumps, helicopter chases - incredible film. Looking forward to 7!

Yeah I loved those two, especially Prisoners. Jake is one of my favourite actors.

End of Watch is my favourite film, I was blown away by it.

I remember last year I was watching a list of films cause I hadn't watched any in ages and accidentally hit 4 or 5 bangers in a row - Prisoners, End of Watch, Shot Caller, Nightcrawler, they were all so so good.

Primer is another one of my favourites.

Watched Adolf Eichmann at the weekend, about the interrogation of Eichmann after his arrest by Israeli intelligence officers. I was probably a little bit underwhelmed after it and it lacked something (that I can't quite put my finger on) which stopped it from being a great film. But it was a good enough watch.

Star Wars Episode VIII : The Last Jedi.  First of all, I enjoyed it. However at times it didn't really "feel" like a Star Wars movie, there were lots of new stuff inserted that kind of jarred with the traditions of the series - the slow motion technique for example. Then of course there were the new Force powers that were suddenly being used, it felt at times like it was being made up as it went along.

I don't think it's a Star Wars movie that I would watch many more times, I'll probably get the DVD for the sake of completing the collection.

I just watched Con Air for the 20th time. It's such a great film.

"put the bunny, back in the box".

Last night (well this morning actually) I watched Ready, Player One It was pretty enjoyable to be honest, although not quite what I was expecting. Still it kept me watching until half two this morning, so definitely kept my attention.

Decent watch. I’d have been annoyed at paying to watch it in the cinema

I'll bet the battle scene was epic in a cinema though. Was epic enough on a 42 inch Sony. On the subject of the Cinema, I think the last film I saw in one was Avengers: Assemble.

This is huge, fucking brilliant news.

The Avengers + Spidey would probably be the greatest Superhero movie of all time. DC might as well concede defeat.

On Mel Gibson’s infamous comments about Jews…
"He got drunk and said a few things, but we’ve all said those things. We’re all f-----g hypocrites. That’s what I think about it. The policeman who arrested him has never used the word n----- or that f-----g Jew? I’m being brutally honest here. It’s the hypocrisy of it that drives me crazy.

"Mel Gibson is in a town that’s run by Jews and he said the wrong thing because he’s actually bitten the hand that I guess has fed him. But some Jewish guy in his office somewhere hasn’t turned and said, 'That f-----g kraut' or 'F--- those Germans,' whatever it is?"

On Alec Baldwin calling a photographer a “fag”…
"Alec calling someone an F-A-G in the street while he’s pissed off coming out of his building because they won’t leave him alone? I don’t blame him."

Genuinely awful excuses from his manager as well
