TheManc 4,058
Jonathan Veal @jonathandveal831h Mourinho: "Before matches you always ask me why this player is not playing, why this player is not playing, why this player is not selected. Maybe now for a few weeks you don't ask me that because you have the answer." #THFC #COYS Did the same interview regarding Lukaku starting over Martial IIRC. CB78 384
I was really thinking Mourinho / Spurs set for a decent season seeing post match interviews like this, what’s he thinking? Whats to be gained hanging players out to to dry so publicly? Zilch - exact same as he did at UTD
Pap1918 1,162
Since October 30 nothing special about them !? Ok , last night they played Dinamo Zagreb and wasted a two goal lead .

TFIA 15,109
Conte close to joining. Holy fuck. Domestically he’s been the best manager in football for the last decade. Not sure why he’d join this corpse of a squad. If he gets them competing for league titles then it’s his best job yet. He will get the best out of unheralded players. Could see Doherty loving him. Though it doesn't look like he's going now.
TFIA 15,109
Have pulled out of the Fonseca deal at the last second. Nearly everything was done. What a shitshow of a club they are. Looking at Gattuso now lol.
Jay007 3,429
Surely the most farcical managerial search in history? Lurching from one candidate to another, none of whom seem to have anything in common - they obviously don't even have any idea what type of manager they want.
John Locke 1,196
Nuno esposito!! Never saw that one coming. Mind you they must've offered it to half the managers in europe by now.

TFIA 15,109
I'm still sickened over this appointment but it will be interesting to see what Conte can do with that squad. It has looked dead for years. Doherty will be delighted to see him. Should be a natural fit for the 3-5-2 as he was at Wolves. I suspect Alli's career is done. Ndombele will likely be a big player, Conte wanted him at Inter. There will be a few random players who'll come out of nowhere to excel under him, there always is. Kane and Son could be a formidable front two, Son has always looked excellent through the middle in Kane's absence and I suspect this could get the best out of both. Other than that though it's a pretty sorry group of players. His biggest challenge yet. Getting them in the CL would be as impressive as any title he's won. Either 3-5-2 or 3-4-2-1: Son-----Kane--- Reguilón-----Ndombélé----Højbjerg----Lo Celso-----Emerson Romero-------Dier-----Sánchez Lloris OR Kane Son-----------------Lucas Reguilón-----Ndombele-----Højbjerg-------Emerson Romero------Dier------Sánchez Lloris They'll need to sign a CB in January to upgrade one of Dier/Sánchez. Most likely Sánchez as Dier can also play DM. Ndombele's biggest flaw is his fitness. He gasses quickly. If he's prepared to work he can go up a level under Conte. Doherty wasn't fancied by Nuno despite being a key player for him at Wolves. But yeah, he should get more minutes at RWB now. 2-3 signings and Spurs will be solid next season. O 20,624
Conte is expected to part ways with Spurs by the end of the week. Mourinho and now Conte... the Spurs DNA really is strong. Two serial winners reduced to dust. I don't think Brighton would appreciate a 2nd manager being poached so soon after Potter. Amorim, the Sporting manager, at the end of the season would be a good appointment if they can get him. Their best bet is probably trying to bring Poch back.

You have to question the brains on anyone who takes that job on Lots of people buying into Conte's bullshit though, he's right in part but trying to deflect any blame for their shit football. People wanted him here, glad we avoided.
