hdcantona 9,000
Couldn't find the TV equivalent of the film thread - if one exists someone link it to me and I'll get rid of this thread and tidy it up So I just finished Silicon Valley which was a decent tv show, with the odd hilarious moment, especially in the last 3 episodes, I also recently finished 30 rock which I absolutely adored, Jack Donaghy is one of my favourite characters ever! What shows are you lot watching? Fordie

Davey 119
Currently watching AMC's The Strain. very good so far becoming one of new fave series to watch. Also just starting Arrested Development, I really like Will Arnett and David Cross, so as soon as I found they were in this, I had to give it a try. So far so good. dualtamac 5,221
Arrested Development is awesome. really need to watch them all again. Never watched the entire seasons. Gustavo Fring
Loublaze 2,478
Just watched the pilot episodes for 'Transparent', 'Bosch', 'Really', and 'Red Oakwoods' over the last week. All Amazon Prime originals and all pretty good.
dualtamac 5,221
@Loublaze and @hdcantona, since you both watch Silicon Valley. I stopped watching about episode 4 or 5. I thought that it had promise but it wasn't consistently funny, does it fulfill its' potential in the last few episodes? EDIT: Just seen hd's OP again, he says the last three were good, Lou, do you agree? I need to finish season 2 of The Newsroom yet... Otherwise I've been mostly watching s07 of A League of Their Own, catching up on all those I've missed. I've also been re-watching a show from my teenage years called The Tribe which I loved back in the day and I still love now.
Danny boy 1,686
Currently watching 'Gomorrah' and 'Ray Donovan' on Sky atlantic, both top quality shows. I've also got Banshee recorded, I need to catch up with that asap.

I didn't think the first few were up to much but it picked up in the last 3, if you've seen the first 4 you may as well watch the last 3, they'll definitely be better, there are one or two hilarious scenes. Watch it this month or next! Season 3 starts in November, even if it's cruelly short (only 6 eps or something :/ )
Cole 3,277
Suits is fucking awesome. I can't believe it's taken me this long to start on it. To those that have watched Lost, how good is it and is it worth watching?

Munroe 3,629
To those that have watched Lost, how good is it and is it worth watching? Asking people on here isn't going to help. Some people think it's over-rated, some will even be mad enough to call it shit, and then there's people like me who still miss the show and think it's one of the best series ever; if not the best. Watch the first two or three episodes, if you're not hooked by then, don't continue.
TFIA 15,109
Just finished the Wire. Best ever imo. Just finished it myself. Absolutely incredible. Season 5 disappointed a little bit but seasons 3 and 4 were some of the greatest shit I've ever seen. Avon was the fucking boss. Fuck that POS in your avatar. lucretius and Piazza

It's business. We all know Omar was the real star anyway. Sleepy
TFIA 15,109
Avon is just as dirty as Stringer. It's business. We all know Omar was the real star anyway. Avon was a gangster. He knew what he was. Stringer was a brilliant character, but I fucking hated his punk ass. Omar's murder was probably the most brutal yet brilliant fate for a major character that you'll see. All the build towards some huge shootout, only to get randomly popped by some kid in a shop and then is irrelevance outside the street highlighted by wrong tag on the body. The realism can be hard to appreciate at times but that truly summed the show up. Piazza
O 20,624
I have yet to start watching The Wire, and I've seen literally anything else worth watching. For me so far, it goes: 1. Breaking Bad 2. The Sopranos 3. Game of Thrones I hear The Wire is right up there, so I'll have to start it eventually.
TFIA 15,109
I haven't seen the Soprano's, but I've had a lot of major plot twists spoiled for me, so not sure if I'll bother. My list would effectively be the same with The Wire in for Soprano's. True Detective's first season was as good as any of them but I suspect it will decline significantly with the new cast. Piazza 6,435
I don't know how to do spoiler tags on mobile, but you fucking nailed it. The realism of the show was its best attribute. The fact that things came to conclusions in sort of anti-climatic ways was a great change of pace
Cole 3,277
Stringer Bell was all kinds of a boss until he turned on Avon in season 3. No charactor beats this don and I mean no one. http://youtu.be/UmtuRRhtGQw
Sporting4Ever 634
Suits is fucking awesome. I can't believe it's taken me this long to start on it. To those that have watched Lost, how good is it and is it worth watching? Lost was amazing at the beginning. It forced you to watch the next episode over and over again. That being said, the ending is an issue. I would suggest on setting your expectations of the ending to very low. That way, you might enjoy it, and unlike a lot of people, not end up with a sour taste in your mouth. I don't know. A show like that can likely afford to have a good cast. Woody and Matthew did take the 1st season to an amazing level, but if I can draw a parallel with American Horror Story, another show that changes from season to season, the potential is there.
