Personally, i think we'll show up and look like shit and City will walk around us comfortably and we'll lose 2 or 3-0.
Rashford will stand on the shoulder of the defense waiting for a ball over the top to run onto all game. Bruno will be the main point of hate after the game, specifically for pundits and media who will show us multiple clips of him post game complaining or whatever else.

ten Hag said that he thinks Antony will likely make it.
He must have low pain threshold to go from crying in agony to fit again 10 days later. We'll see. Maybe just the bench.

They've done a PR job on him all right. But I heard the tape and people like that don't change. Besides, if they did bring him back, the women's team would probably make a royal stink about it. Better to get rid.

I stopped liking ten Hag during the Overmars incident at Ajax. He continued to defend him after the evidence came to light.
Do you deny that he played a player accused of stabbing someone (soon fled to Russia after Ajax facilitated a transfer), defended his friend Overmars who was forced to resign, tried to sign a racist (Arnautović), made his latest Greenwood comments (soft launch to gauge public opinion).
His family are one of the wealthiest in The Netherlands. He's from old money.
Tbh, I dislike you more than ten Hag. He's many things, but not a fool.

I'd sign Haller if possible. ten Hag has worked with him at Utrecht and Ajax. His profile is exactly what ten Hag likes.
Openda, RC Lens, would be much cheaper. Balogun too. Although Arsenal would prefer to sell him to a foreign club.
I'd take a punt on Patson Daks as well. There's a vey good striker in there. Rodgers didn't give him enough starts.

There are so many games that could have swung either way. United somehow took 6 points from the last 2 games despite giving up numerous chances in the 1st half of both games. Leicester at home was similar, which wasDe Gea's best game of the season.
United will either drop off by 6-9 points next season or take an extra few points. It's difficult to judge due to how chaotic they still are.
It will be difficult to replicate the home form. But even if that drops off by 2-3 wins, the away form should improve to balance it out.
I think United will finish on 75-80 points next season.

There's going to be people claiming they should've stuck with bielsa but that ship had sailed clearly imo - they botched it by neither sticking with marsch long enough *nor* twisting and getting rid quickly enough - they had to do one or the other, they did neither - happy to see the scum down in the championship for at least a year

What a disaster of a season.
They back Marsch with signings such as Kristensen, Adams and Aaronsen who he worked with at the Red Bull clubs. They further back him in January by signing Wöber and McKennie, and then sack him only a week after convincing McKennie to join the club.
If that wasn't bad enough decision making... they then stall for around 3 weeks before deciding on Javi Gracia.
Not done with their chaotic ways, they panic by sacking Gracia in order to bring in Big Sam for the remaining 4 games of the season. Big Sam talks a good game in front of the press, only to take 1 point from his 4 games in charge. He even manages to somehow lose to Spurs at home on the final day.
This all could have been avoided with a better managerial appointment back in January. Marsch might have even managed to keep them up. He accumulated 18 of their 31 points.

I don't think being English is a problem. There are several English midfielders who are good enough to play for a top 4 team.
I actually think Jacob Ramsay would be a really good addition to Liverpool. He's ideal for a 4-3-3. High energy and has goals + assist in him. Joe Willock is the same. Perfect for pressing teams.
If United played a 4-3-3, I think either of those two would be good. Newcastle wouldn't let Willock leave though.

Horrible for Haller. Who knows what would have happened had he scored his penalty...
But yeah, 71 points is a very low tally for a 34 game league. Bayern being poor has made it a more enjoyable top 4 battle though.  Union Berlin were the wildcard this season, and Frieburg almost secured CL football too. Something different.
It's crazy how low down clubs like Stuttgart, Schalke 04 and Werder Bremen are these days. They were competing for titles and cups in the 00's.
Bayern should bounce back next season with a new tactical system built around Kimmich who is playing some sensational stuff under Tuchel.

Mourinho sort of gambled it all on beating Ajax in 2017. He rotated a lot during the final few games. Guys like Mitchell, Harrop and McTominay made their debuts. United only took 5 points from 15. That should have been a top 4 finish.

Funnily enough, he was dispossessed for the 2nd goal. The ball fell to Casemiro who then fed Sancho. A bit unlucky from a Chelsea POV.

United have gotten away with it in plenty of games. Not just xG. Playing like shit and still winning. It's the DNA of United.
Southampton away, Fulham in The FA Cup, this game. Just 3 examples of United winning while playing poorly.

Yeah we will see, there’s a lot of good stylistic fits out there, it annoys me though that he’s got the influence he has, because no well run club works that way anymore, he should be telling them I want a player like ____ who can do x, y and z
And they should then let him veto a list of say 3-5 targets, with the view of signing one of them
he should dictate the shape and roles and not the individuals actually picked for those spots, it’s inefficient, and don’t get me started on that rb fiasco with ole a few years ago

You can get away with it in The Eredivisie.
ten Hag has struggled in the knockout stages in Europe for a reason. Despite some good group stage showings.
I see Mount as a Bruno type player. Not a CM or Fred alternative. He wants to be on the ball and creative. He just happens to work hard off the ball, which is a bonus.
ten Hag would be better off trying to sign Gravenberch. Tuchel will likely revive his Bayern career if he does stay though. Liverpool are interested.
I'm very surprised that ten Hag isn't interested in players like Caqueret and Enzo Le Fée.
He really seems to prefer players who have played in The Netherlands, or are familiar with Dutch football.

Kane and Bruno would either be a raging success or a complete disaster.
Kane likes to drop off to link the play and play defence splitting passes. Bruno likes to do the same things. Maybe Bruno could make 3rd man runs and Kane could help find them with his passing range. It's hard to tell without seeing them play together.
I don't think Kane would a bad signing. A younger striker would be better though.
