Wow. Definitely the best choices of the interims - Can't wait to see what he'll bring to the setup. Like the long term involvement but I imagine that may be more of a gesture than anything too significant. I was hoping to get the long term guy but this should make the transition to a more progressive play style smoother and wont require a hard reset. Either Poch or ten Hag could comfortably build on the foundations he'll set so it's great first step. We're a serious club again lads.

  3. Squad is full of spoiled cunts and has been for years. More heart and drive in almost any other club in the league, used to be the opposite. If Ralf is butting heads with those players it's a good thing, get them out. Would happily cut 11 players from this team.

  6. Fred has been playing much higher up since Ole left and has been much more effective. He's the best presser and Rangnick will want him to win the ball back in more dangerous areas so he wont be playing as a 6. I like McTominay as a squad guy and he's better than some of our fans make out but we do need to upgrade.

  7. Not so much this, just that in order for people to have a similar level of impact they need to have a huge amount of resources behind them to get any kind of attention. There is no way Rashford would've been able to achieve what he did without the backing of his talent agency. That's not a slight on him at all, it's just reality of the world we live in today. It's the same for white people as well fwiw. I sincerely doubt Rashford launched the campaign solely to boost his image and marketability, it was simply an inevitable conclusion of the campaign.

    Nemanja Matic

I mean, what do people expect? He's approaching his mid-30s and his legs were gone half a decade ago. Not Matic's fault we have neglected his position for years.

  9. It wouldn't surprise me if a lot of the players were upset over the Ronaldo signing - Or at least some of the cliques were. He gets an ensured starting place, he breaks the wage structure, he changes the expectations and he becomes the primary focus. The latter is a huge problem to the players looking to build their personal brand because they're immediately in Ronnie's shadow and we know that's a huge priority for a lot of these divas. I think Ronaldo has done enough in his career to justify special status but we've seen before that these players are just as unprofessional as it gets at

Agreed. Good signs for Fletcher and Murtough that they made this call. If it was left to Woodward then Carrick would have got 5 games to prove himself. I'll be surprised if it's not Pochettino come next summer but at least there looks to be footballing decisions made here.

    Cristiano Ronaldo/ CRexit

Yeah all it really does is improve on our strengths. Doesn’t address the problems with attacking cohesion or controlling games. He wont win is the league. That said I don’t give a shit. This is a victory for football and I don’t have to watch my boy in that blood stained blue. Glorious. Get him home. Fuck City. Fuck Messi. Fuck their slave states. Sack Martial and give Cavani #9.

  18. So many players stepped up in the second half, it was great to see. Fred had a miserable first 45, but improved a lot and was everywhere in the second. Fair play to him too for following up Cavani's shot for the equaliser -- it showed our positive ambition. AWB too -- his defending for their first goal aside -- had a good game. And probably one of his more confident games in an attacking sense too. Pogba was simply sensational. No one in our squad comes close to his quality on the ball when he's really on it. Greenwood with a terrific cameo. Pinpoint first time cross, and a b

  19. Wish Fred would score more often. He looked a different player after he'd scored. Cavani MOTM for me just edging Pogba. Henderson will take some shifting too. McT looked a force, even on a yellow and Lindelof did the basic stuff right. There's still some confusion at the back with Lindelof twice taking the ball that should have been Henderson's but that will get straightened out in time. 3-1 did not flatter them.

  20. Spot on. A manager who's just happy to be in a job and a squad full of players just happy to not be under criticism for a few weeks. Just coasting along and capitalising on a freak league that will likely not be repeated for some time, we'll certainly not have a better chance of challenging for the title for some time. But no, just take it easy lads and hope for the best. We might nick a penalty, we might have a gifted chance or a moment of individual skill. If not, no worries, Ole will still say he's happy with you. Flattering to deceive is putting it mildly. We're as bad to watch now as we h

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10375579/Man-Uniteds-board-didnt-think-stars-adapt-Antonio-Contes-style.html United's board didn't think their stars could adapt to Conte's style. A United source said "If Conte tells a player to do six things then he wants to see them do all six immediately. He wants to be able to program players to the minute details. We were not sure that was a great fit for us."

Says it all when a guy quite rightly ridiculed for being a calamity who hasn't played for 2 years comes into this current team and is the best outfield player. Shocking and highlights just how shit this current United Team individually and collectively are. Hats off Jonesey!

It's convenient for everyone. The PSG squad is much more of a Zidane one anyway. If possible we need to make it happen. Pay them whatever, give them Pogba, it's obviously what Poch and United want so PSG would just be delaying the inevitable. His contract is only until 2023 so United could essentially ask him to resign and pay that contract off as a signing bonus. The mutual attraction is always appealing. I get the feeling Ten Hag would take convincing and Zidane isn't interested. Poch has wanted this job for years, to the point where it may have affected his performance at Spurs. H

I think Solskjaer has been pretty lucky to get this far, to be honest. He has been fortunate during his time as manager, which has coincided with a weakening of the top six. He managed to get top four twice in a row, but the points barrier has dropped a lot since Mourinho was manager. These are the points required since Mourinho's first season: 2016/17: 76 points 2017/18: 75 points 2018/19: 71 points 2019/20: 66 points 2020/21: 67 points I do not think we have actually improved, to be honest. Seriously board have to consider something drastic particularly with what they have provided him with Inc the GOAT. 3 piss poor losses out of 4 against very very mediocre opposition. 2 defeats at Home already which he said would be our fortress. Apart from the Leeds match the performance levels have been just the same as last season boring turgid shit waiting for moments to happen. We signed the failed Cardiff City Manager and put him in the charge of the world's biggest football club. Say's it all really.

    Euro 2020

Funny thing. I remember 1966 well. I went to Goodison and Old Trafford with my dad to see the Brazilians and the Portuguese play. The crowd were in awe of Pele and Eusebio. I watched the final on the box and nobody booed the West German anthem or any of their players even though the war was still fresh in the memory of my parents. My dad was lucky to survive in one piece and my mum had spent many nights in a damp bomb shelter wondering where the next salvo would drop. Fans of all nations came to England and had no fear of being beaten up by a drunken mob.

to all England fans here: i hate England, always have, always will. now that it's not going back home to Denmark, I hope and i pray that Insigne and co run riot on English players and score 5 nil or more and they do an open double decker bus celebration in London for 3 days and nights. and hours later i wish Messi does a superman on Brazil and put a foot up their asses. my national team hate list in order of extreme to moderate hate: Brazil, Germany, England, USA, Spain, Australia.

Completely deserved. They Swiss were amazing and probably should have won it in normal time. Nightmare of a tournament for Mbappe. Would probably haunt a player that age if he hadn’t already put together and amazing international career. Pogba and Xhaka were both amazing. Mourinho was dead on about Pogba, great when he wants to be and tournament football is perfect for him as he can stay focused. Hopefully that performance encourages someone to buy him because he’s still human trash. France lost their edge without Griezmann and Benzema. Switzerland were always dangerous
