That doesn't count for anything unless the club "steeped in Prestige" has a realistic chance of competing for honours. Nobody would have chosen Liverpool over United until recently unless they had a personal connection to the club. Chelsea are a much more attractive proposition for any top player right now and will continue to be so until we sort our shit out.8 points -
Outstanding performance. Saved us time and again and threw himself into everything. Loved him sinking the shoulder into Salah after the first challenge. He was winding at them for the entirety of the game. We’ve lacked some cunts since Ander and Rojo left. I’m gonna love this guy.7 points

Non-United Transfers Summer 2022

You'd struggle to find a worst piece of business in football history than buying Lukaku for 100m, having a shambolic season then loaned back to the same club for under 10m. Might never be beaten either.7 points -

He should never wear the captain's armband again. It's been clear he's not leadership material and he's only had the captaincy due to a lack of leaders we've had throughout his time here (albeit we have more now that haven't even been here for a season yet.) He completely summed up our second half performance. Absolutely embarrassing conduct, a completely shambolic performance and by far and away the worst performance and conduct I can remember for a captain. Seemingly hoping to be substituted is cowardice, and if that's his mentality then you have to question whether he's capable of6 points

Watching that game made me miss Old Trafford so much, or at least be walking along the Quays during the build up before the game. City were toothless. I LOVE that we shithoused the goal to equalise and I almost lost it when Rashford scored. Ole helped me enjoy watching this team but Erik Ten Hag already has something much more cohesive. We will dip at some point this season and that'll probably depend on injuries and some luck. Martial wasn't great but we missed his ability up front to allow us to try and have the ball stick slightly further up the pitch, even though that's never b6 points

Pele's Life Drawing to a Close
Alexander and 5 others reacted to Albert Quixall for a topic
I don't know if anyone else on here saw him play, but when I was kid in 1966, I went with my dad and granddad to watch Brazil play Bulgaria at Goodison Park. The first World Cup game I ever saw. On the way, I heard all about the magical Brazilians and of the great Pele. I remember it like yesterday. He scored that day and so did Garrincha, another player we all wanted to see. It wasn't a pretty game as the Bulgarians roughly handled Pele who got no protection from the referee. He hobbled off and couldn't play in the next game against Hungary. He was back for the last game against Portugal and6 points -

No doubt we're at panic stations but the media are having a field day. We must have been linked with close to 50 players in the last 72 hours. Probably worth switching off Twitter and letting the club disappoint in their own intended way.6 points -
If the “mistake” was thinking anyone could get that pack of cunts to play, then yeah, they made a mistake… They'll throw Poch under the very next bus. I thought @O and @TFIA were exaggerating when the said the whole squad needs dismantling - but they’re spot on. You won’t find a bigger bunch of spineless pricks anywhere on earth.6 points

We'll have the disagree on that one. I wasn't using it as a criticism either, just a fact of life. In his first spell, as soon as he'd won the CL he made his "treated like a slave" comments and wanted to go as soon as he'd achieved everything he could here. It was widely reported last year that he was happily about to go to City, but the move didn't materialise as Pep wasn't 100% committed to him before we then stole him. Now it's being reported that the reason he wants to leave is that he wants to be playing in the CL. He clearly doesn't want to be playing in the EL since he c6 points

As is tradition. This club is absolutely terrified at the thought of people revealing what actually goes on behind the scenes. Confirms what we already knew. TMU Forum update - Moving to Discord

Hi everyone, As we've all known for a long time now, the forum has been in a decline over the last few years for various reasons. Neither myself nor the rest of the admin team have the capacity or the inclination to try and reverse this and even with all the will in the world, forums as a whole just don't have the same appeal as they once did. However, we are keen to continue to provide some kind of community space where the few of us that are still active can continue to talk absolute shite together. We've therefore decided to make the move over to Discord and have set up a TMU ser5 points -

What the fuck did I just watch? A nerd messing about with statistics and something silly on a game board. Fuck all of this over-analyzing. Football is a simple game made tediously complex by all the experts, commentators, and match pundits. People spend more time listening to this pseudo-intellectual crap than they do watching the actual game.5 points -
I don't think you can say a result and performance like this is particularly surprising, as we've played poorly for weeks/a few months, since before the Carabao Cup final at least. We haven't looked like a functioning team for a few weeks, which is obviously a huge problem and has led to really flat and lacklustre performances. We're stuck between a rock and a hard place in some respects though, as here's two of my thoughts which contradict each other: Ten Hag's lack of rotation this season is coming/has come back to bite us, as some of our regular starters look (or close to looki5 points

Nothing questionable. He's an idiot and a coward. Pushing Nunez on the floor was pitiful, when he had been a disaster for 3 or 4 of the goals. It was embarrassing. Meek, timid and completely devoid of any footballing intelligence or mental fortitude. Players like him are systematic of what's wrong with this club. Needs a contract, performance levels rise. Can string together four or five months of good (never great consistently) performances only to fall completely on his face when asked serious questions are asked and times are tough. Fernandes is another one. Embarrassing. Ge5 points -
We need a new goalkeeper a proper VDS or Schmeichel. This buffoon threatened to be like them but he is now prone to absolute 3rd rate keeping mistakes and it's been like this since OGS took over to the present time. He has been responsible for proper howlers. His saving grace are and still his super saves some just outrageous. He and United more importantly can't rely on his super saves. Modern goalkeeping is far more than that. Like @hdcantonasaid his command of the area is bad.. just bordering on the cowardice. Even tonight (Arsenal) he punched a ball that just looped in the air a few m5 points

Great performance. Best under ETH. The midfield 3 were superb. Terminate Ronaldo’s contract tonight.5 points -
We don't control games because of players like McTominay. 22 completed passes from 90+ mins of football is just not good enough. He committed 5 fouls and has been booked in 3 out of 4 games already this season. He won 33% of his aerial duels. So not even his height was useful. He was lucky not the give away a penalty when he decided to become a juggler. Eriksen gassed early, which is a concern. And Bruno was also awful outside of his goal. 18 year old Lavia showed McTominay levels today on just his 4th ever PL start.5 points

He's teasing a tell all interview in a few weeks. How convenient that it's then and not now. After the window closes. If he stays, the spin will be that the media made everything up and he never wanted to leave. If he leaves, it'll be for family reasons and the lack of stability at United.5 points

The PSG interest is genuine. They've wanted him for awhile. But it seems to be just a case of Rashford's entourage (his brothers) are using it as leverage to get him a new contract. Rashford is currently on 200k a week. Instead of cashing in, we'll offer him 300k a week. I'd cash in now while we still can. He might never be the player he once was.5 points

I keep reading that Rashford is short on confidence. he's not. He's reached his level. Take away the pace, and he's very average. Defenders have him sussed and even if they're beaten, they know he can't shoot straight. Bruno is pretty much done for too. Dalot is worse than AWB, Mourinho was right about Shaw, and McFred are a duo funnier than Laurel and Hardy. If ETH doesn't get the payers he wants because of the board's parsimony and the DOF's incompetence, he should walk. De Jong was never coming and if he sees a video of today's game, he'll be thanking his lucky stars he's not. 10 years5 points -

What a great night for football. Not many of those these days. Just a debacle for England. Their media used to do everything to sabotage the team by tearing down every player and manager but not they’re sabotaging them with a love affair for this clueless prick. Barcelona literally can't register players. They need to come up with €500m in the next few weeks. There's no comparison to the Fabregas situation - They'll be more than willing to negotiate here. Some of the arguments against him signing are really annoyingly lazy and seem to be a product of PTSD from our fanbase. He is nothing like Di Maria or Alexis. Di Maria and his wife always wanted to go to Paris but it wasn't financially viable in that window, it was always going to be a year later. He was also a South American used to sunny skies who didn't speak a lick of English playing i5 points
